Local Transportation

From the airport to hotels: From Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) to Chapel Hill or Carrboro, the best transportation options are ride sharing services like Uber or Lyft (costs typically range from $25-$40) or taxis (which start at about $40).

From hotels to the conference: For guests staying at the Aloft hotel or the Holiday Inn Express, there are hotel shuttles available to take you directly from the hotel to UNC’s campus until 6pm. Please request a shuttle in advance from the front desk at the hotel. For guests staying at the Hampton Inn in Carrboro, there are free public buses that run regularly from Carrboro to UNC’s campus. The CW and J buses make stops near the Hampton Inn and the Global Education Center; their schedules can be found here.

Parking: After 5pm on weekdays and over the weekend, there is public parking available at the Global Education Center. Before 5pm on weekdays, there are several lots that offer paid parking for visitors on campus.
