THE TOURNEES FILM FESTIVAL – NOW SHOWING: Hiroshima mon amour

Presented by The Dept. of Romance Studies and sponsored by the Dept. of Asian Studies and yours truly, The Tournees Film Festival are showing new French films on campus that are free and open to the public! Films are presented in French with English subtitles. Doors open at 6:00 PM sharp! Hope to see you there!
Hiroshima mon amour: She is a French actress visiting Hiroshima to make a film; He is her married lover, a former Japanese soldier whose family was killed the day the US dropped an atomic bomb on the city. While the two reflect on the horrors of wartime they begin to debate the very unreliability of memory.
