The Transatlanticist Roundtable: The Next Generation of Ideas

On behalf of the Center for a New American Security’s Transatlantic Security Program, CES
pleased to invite you to a virtual roundtable discussion on December 7, 2021, from 12:00 p.m.
to 1:30 p.m. EST. This discussion will feature three distinguished guests:
H.E. Emily Haber, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the United States;
H.E. Domingos Fezas Vital, Ambassador of Portugal to the United States; and,
Mr. Michael Curtis, Deputy Ambassador, Delegation of the European Union to the United States.
During the event, you will have the opportunity to engage with the three European diplomats and
inject your ideas into the transatlantic dialogue. The discussion will be wide-ranging,
encompassing the various themes represented on The Transatlanticist blog: security and defense,
threats to democracy, climate change, technological change, and the future of transatlantic
relations. The conversation will give you an excellent perspective on U.S.-Europe relations and
the nature of the challenges the United States and Europe face. Come ready with your ideas and
questions!
