Free Film Screening and Q&A with Black German Filmmaker Natasha Kelly (Berlin)

March 6, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Milli’s Awakening (2018) brings together the voices of eight Black German women of different generations. Through their artistic practices they have defined self-determined positions within white German mainstream society. Like a quilt, the film unfolds in a way reflecting the diversity and interwoven nature of these (hi)stories.

This talk is organized by Professor Priscilla Layne in the UNC Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures.
