Brexit and the Future of the European Union
April 14, 2021 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
On December 31, 2020, Great Britain became the first country to leave the European Union. Why did Great Britain leave? What are the consequences of the British exit (Brexit) for Great Britain and for the European Union?
Join a conversation on Brexit with Mark Gilbert, Professor of History and International Studies at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. Professor Gilbert brings an extraordinary depth and breadth of knowledge to the topic of Brexit.
Students and faculty from the UNC system are invited to attend. For more information and the Zoom link to join the event, contact Dr. John Brooks, Associate Professor of History at Fayetteville State University (jibrooks@uncfsu.edu).
This conversation was made possible by a grant from the UNC Center for European Studies. This event is part of the Fayetteville State University Global Literacy Lecture Series.
