Dear CES Community,
There is, unfortunately, much happening in Europe and beyond at the moment that is quite unsettling. Here at CES, our thoughts are with all those affected by the latest tragedies in Europe. In addition, we are following developments in Turkey closely and are glad to report that our UNC students and colleagues who were travelling in Turkey are safe. Still, we are faced with many questions about all of these events. We hope, as always, that you will join us here to discuss current issues, pose your questions, and continue to support the dialogue on Europe.
Please join us on Thursday, September 8 at 6:15pm in the Mandela Auditorium for a panel discussion on “The Brexit Shock” with our experts:
- Liesbet Hooghe, Professor of Political Science
- Konrad Jarausch, Professor of History
- Gary Marks, Professor of Political Science &
- John Stephens, CES Director and Professor of Political Science.
Please also join our dialogue via Twitter and Facebook. We look forward to hearing from you and to seeing you soon!
With best wishes,
Katie
