The Center for European Studies is pleased to welcome the 2014-2016 TransAtlantic Masters Class to UNC-CH. There are sixteen in-coming students this year. Those in our TransAtlantic Studies (TAM I), European Governance (TAM II), and German-Turkish Studies (TAM III) tracks come from a variety of states, including California, Maryland, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, Idaho, Georgia, North and South Carolina and Wisconsin. Our international students are from Germany, Mexico, Romania and the UK. This year’s in-coming TAM students received undergraduate degrees from the following institutions: UNC-CH (2), the University of Michigan (2), Freie Universitat, Berlin, Occidental College, the University of California-Santa Cruz, American University (2), the State University of New York at Albany, Brigham Young University, Arizona State University, Southern New Hampshire University, University of Miami, Hamline University, and East Carolina University. The new TAM students have studied and / or worked abroad in Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Jordan, Israel, France, Sweden, Ukraine, the UK, and Tanzania. Many of the new students have substantial work and volunteer experience involving journalism, research, coaching, education, administration, marketing, diplomacy, communications and policy making.
